One of the HARDEST parts of the challenge- ACCOUNTABILITY. Holding yourself accountable seems pretty simple until you've reached one of those days when it's freezing and you don't feel like going to the gym. You look outside and it starts snowing. Then you look at your couch and BAM! The thought of staying home seems way more appealing than going to the gym. You then allow yourself just this one time to sit on the couch and watch the latest episode of A Million Little Things. You then start thinking about the tin of cookies your co-worker gave you and think what a great opportunity to just sit and have a cookie-but just ONE. You have one, and realize one just isn't enough and you have two, then three, then four...then you think, "man this episode is giving me the feels."..then 5 cookies, before you know it the cookies in the tin are GONE. Whoa, that wasn't the plan. Ok, so maybe staying home wasn't the best choice because now your over your caloric intake for the day and you haven't had dinner or a workout in. This is how you GAIN weight.

 

So now you are feeling that all too common feeling of regret for doing something you knew you shouldn't have done and your once super high motivation has come down quite a few notches. You start beating yourself up because it wasn't the plan and now that conversation to Kristy about why you didn't workout and all those cookies you ate is going to SUCK. So maybe you feel like giving up or worse, lie to avoid having the conversation. I get it, it is so tempting to just "cheat". But at the end of the day, your body doesn't recognize those "cheat" days. Your body only recognizes calories. And for that very same reason, this is why we track our calories.

If you choose not to download on your phone, you are able to access through a Mac/PC. I HIGHLY recommend downloading the app so that you can take it everywhere you go to track your calories as this will be one of the MOST IMPORTANT PART of the challenge.
